• Local data — All financial data (transactions, budgets, savings goals) is stored locally on your device using SQLite.
• Account data — If you create an account, we collect your email address and display name for authentication.
• Cloud data — If you enable cloud backup, your financial data is encrypted and stored on servers.
• Analytics — We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data (screen views, feature usage) to improve the app.

How we use your data

• To provide budget tracking and financial management features
• To sync your data across devices — only if you enable cloud backup
• To improve app functionality and user experience

Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal or financial data with third parties, except:

• Supabase (cloud hosting provider) — only if you enable cloud backup
• Google Firebase (analytics) — anonymous usage data only

Data security

• All local data is stored on your device and never leaves it unless you enable cloud backup
• Cloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest
• We do not have access to your financial data

Your rights

• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time
• You can disable cloud backup to keep all data local
• You can request a copy of your stored data

Children's privacy

PocketBudget is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy within the app.
