No. PocketBudget works fully offline with all data stored on your device. Creating an account is only needed if you want encrypted cloud backup and sync across devices.
Which currencies and languages are supported?

Budgets & transactions
How do I set a monthly budget for a category?
Open the Budget tab, select a category — or create a custom one with your own icon and color — and set a monthly spending limit. Your progress bar updates automatically as you log transactions.
Can I create my own categories?
Yes. Alongside the predefined categories (Food, Transport, Shopping, Entertainment, Bills, Health, and more), you can create, edit, or retire custom categories at any time.
Why isn't my transaction showing up in reports?
Reports are filtered by date range. Double-check the transaction's date and the month or year selected in the Reports tab — it may simply be outside the current view.
Savings goals
How do automated savings rules work?
When creating a savings goal, you can set a rule to automatically set aside a fixed amount or a percentage of income — triggered on every transaction, or on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule.
Cloud sync & account
Is my data safe if I enable cloud backup?
Yes. Cloud backup is encrypted in transit and at rest via Supabase, and it only activates once you create an account — it's never on by default.
How do I delete my account and data?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your cloud backup and account details. Local data on your device is managed separately from within the app.
Reports & export
Can I export my reports?
Yes — from the Reports tab, export any monthly or yearly report as a PDF or CSV file, then share it directly via email or any messaging app.
